Participating in the Galleries section of Art Basel, Applicat-Prazan will also be showing this year a truly out of the ordinary painting by Georges Mathieu in the Unlimited section of the fair dedicated to monumental works of art( 14 – 17 juin 2018).

Painted 59 years ago, this work has been shown at all the greatest exhibitions dedicated to Georges Mathieu and is indisputably, one of the Artist’s masterpieces.

On Thursday the 2nd April 1959, all the intellectual and artistic elite of Vienna was invited by Galerie St. Stephan to the Fleischmarkt Theater, the mythical scene of the avant-garde movement and seat of the Viennese Actionnist artists.
